Achieve enhanced results with various proteins, at different doses
Exercise and increased protein intake can significantly enhance muscle protein synthesis (MPS), but it has its limits. It’s possible that MPS can level off at a certain point (the “ceiling effect”), and adding more protein may not lead to significantly more MPS.
Fractional synthesis rate (FSR) is a way to measure MPS. By looking at FSR, we are able to see how MPS is enhanced with the addition of Velositol®. When added to protein, Velositol may break the “ceiling effect” or leveling-off that is thought to occur from a diminishing return of incremental protein intake.
Preclinical study results showed that–when added to protein–Velositol:

The safety of Velositol has been evaluated in preclinical and clinical studies. In addition, the safety of the individual components has been extensively tested. This information is currently being reviewed as part of a GRAS regulatory review.
*In a double-blind, crossover clinical study participants were given a single dose of Velositol with 6 grams of protein or 6 grams of protein alone.
